Chemical Users Program

The Chemical Users Program (CUP) educates residents of the Mt Lofty Ranges Watershed about the benefits of using herbicides and pesticides responsibly for the sake of the environment and Adelaide’s drinking water.

Watercourse Management Assistance Program

Natural Resources Management Boards in the Adelaide area can assist landholders interested in restoring and protect their watercourses via a program know as the Watercourse Assistance Program. This program offers technical and financial as sistance to eligible landholders in best practice watercourse management.

FarmBis
FarmBis provides funds to finance the training of farmers and fishers in business management, and land managers in natural resource management. FarmBis is a joint government initiative, aimed at improving the long-term financial self-reliance and competitiveness of the primary industry sector.

Rural Solutions
Rural Solutions SA is the State’s provider of services to land managers and rural communities with a focus on primary industries, agribusiness, training, natural resource management and rural community development.

Rural solutions can assist with a variety of services including:

  • technical advice on soil and water, dryland salinity and irrigation
  • facilitation of farmer groups
  • training and adult education
  • project planning and management
  • economic analysis
  • strategic planning for NRM

Rural Solutions is particularly strong in soil and water management and can also help with regional revegetation.
